formula on plane

Travelling to Dublin tomorrow with British Midland. Do the cabin crew have a scissors/knife to open a carton of ready made formula?
How else can I get it open?! The BAA website say that it is ok to carry cartons of formula but no mention of opening it!
Thanks

can you not rip it open like a milk carton

They are tough to get into, but you can rip them open.

can't you stick it in bottle beforehand?

MirandaG · 10/05/2008 00:13

Custardo thsi is what I'd like to do but is it ok - I thought it was only ok for an hour. Don't think i could rip it open [wimp]

I guess i could open it in the car park, put it in the bottle then it wouldn't be much more than an hour. Am I mad? There must be a simple solution. With the last baby I used to bring bottles of water on to the plane and add the formula but you're not allowed to do that any more...apparently. Give me strength - I haven't even packed
