Last Minute Long Haul Breaks?

We're desperate for some some sun soon and DW is keen not to do Canaries (again) so has mentioned Mexico, Dubai maybe Egypt at this time of year. But prices for 4/5 of us are well beyond our budget. We have flexibility with work so could do it last minute - sometime over the 2 weeks at Easter.

So are there last minute deals that come up? Any sites people can recommend?

what's your budget and where are you flying from?

I'm looking for similar, but in Mar, just DH and myself. What things do you want to see/do? All inclusive and not leave the hotel? Sit by a pool/beach? Scuba dive/snorkel? Museums and sightseeing?

I've been to Egypt 3x to different places. The sights such as Cairo museum, Luxor, valley of the kings, Mt Sinai, diving etc were fascinating- I hated the constant stares and people asking for money. The hotel was the only place I could relax.

I love Thailand and could recommend multiple places there, but not sure of flight costs currently.

You could look at Tui, lastminute.com, Jet2 and search for trips from your airport/s of choice. I always use skyskanner to get an idea of airlines/flight times too.

Thanks for the replies. We mostly just wanted pool with beach/snorkeling a bonus. Any London airport. Happy with 5 days or 7. Most packages are looking at £1,000-£1,500pp but we'd want to be say £700pp if we could do on a last minute deal.

There's options to Morroco and Tunisia on Thomas Cook website within your budget.

I'd be concerned leaving it til the last minute and hoping you'll get Mexico/Dubai on that budget! I feel there are far less last minute deals than there used to be as dynamic pricing models get better ~ especially in the holidays!

Try Cape Verde ?

Thanks for the replies! I don't think we'd do Tunisia based on lots of posts here about it but might consider Egypt. It looks nice for a just pool/beach break. But doesn't really look like a lot of last minute deals around.
