I've never been to Krakow but we went to Berlin last summer. It is a fantastic city. Food was fine - lots of pork and cheese and so forth; not that different from English food. There were also plenty of restaurants with different cuisines, eg Thai, pizza etc. The kebabs are great, too.

Berlin has a real outdoor summer atmosphere - lots of parklife along the river. I'm trying to put my finger on what we actually did - we were never bored but just did a lot of walking around and enjoying the city.

Krakow is fantastic I went for my 10th anniversary in June and it was bloody piping. I loved it though we did a boat trip, a segway tour, the salt mines, loads of really nice food in the jewish quarter and so so cheap we stayed in a really nice hotel that was like less than £200 for 4 days. I would 100% go back. Its really pretty as well. Sometimes I think it has a bad rep for stag doos but I didn"t see many at all.

Krakow would be a lot cheaper for you.
