We bought 2 beautiful suitcases from It luggage, black with rose gold trimmings. We purchased them in January 2024 for a trip to Japan unfortunately on first use the zip on the front on one of the cases came away from the teeth. We used again this year for a trip to the Maldives and Bali. Both cases arrived horrendously out of shape! I have complained to It as we have a 10 year guarantee only to be told it doesn’t cover travel damage. We travelled on both occasions with Emirates and also travelled with friends, their cases arrived in tact and were obviously handled by the same staff.
The luggage is obviously not fit for purpose so I would advise you to buy another brand. We have had cheaper cases in the past that have lasted much longer!

The company's policy is ridiculous. Surely you want travel damage at the least to be covered.

They don't cover travel damage! FFS. That's their job. (No helpful advice, sorry)

I've had mine for a while and it's never been damaged. They are lightweight cases as a key selling point so never going to be as robust as other luggage.

Coincidentally, I bought exactly the same luggage and also for Japan! Mines fine so I think you were probably unlucky.

That said, as you say, it's guaranteed for 10 years. So I'd expect a better response from them.

We were on a tour of Vietnam and one person’s luggage came off the plane damaged. It’s just bad luck. If you are worried about luggage you should have it wrapped at the airport.

We have IT cases and have had for many years with no issues whatsoever. Also I used to work with luggage and yes the cases are covered in their warranty for faults in the manufacture but not damage from airlines who throw them about and damage them by their careless treatment. That said I would pursue with IT if you feel it is a manufacturing fault or go to the airline if you feel it was due to their treatment of your case.
