Summer hols with teens - Nelson's advice

Hello, we are looking at booking our summer hols with 15 and 12 year olds. I would like to do something a bit more active, and ideally give the kids chance to make some friends.

Currently looking at either a Neilsons or a trip with families worldwide (likely to Croatia) followed by a few nights in a hotel to chill out after all the excursions!

Never done a Nelsons but willing to stretch to the costs if it's worth it. But a few questions which hoping people can help with

1. best Neilson resorts, esp for kids making friends
2. will they make friends? How easy is it? My kids aren't shy but equally not the most outgoing, at least to start with!
3. sunbed wars - is that an issue at Neilson resorts?

We did quite a few Neilson holidays when my DD was a teen but not recently enough to know about all their resorts. 'Best' depends so much on your criteria ...if you've a keen windsurfer you might want a higher wind location for instance. Or for others the cycling might matter.

On 2 - sounds pretty similar to mine, she was fine.

3 - we never noticed an issue but we didn't use sun beds much tbh, we'd rather be sailing!
(Gosh I miss it...)

Well sure,if they need forcing to mess about in boats then it's probably not a good fit.

I didn't say they were being forced to go! They are very happy to make friends but also a bit shy - so they question was more about how easy it would be!
