Family holiday recommendations for a large group!

Hello!

I'm trying to plan a weeks holiday for summer 2026 to celebrate a significant birthday in the family. Looking for recommendations of accommodation to suit 8 adults and 5 children, don't really want to have to hire a car so somewhere waking distance to beach/town/good public transport and some decent attractions to keep the kids amused (all under 8 so probably not talking theme parks).

Thinking Spain or Spanish islands, would also consider Lake Garda area. Villas that fit our party size and requirements seem to be £££££ for the week so would also consider multiple villas/lodges beside eachother. Even a campsite if there were any that fitted the bill and we could stay as individual families in accommodation other than a caravan.

Appreciate any advice or recommendations! It's a nightmare trying to keep everyone happy 😂

What kind of budget are you looking at? Would Playa Joyel Camp suit? Playa Joyel Campsite | Costa Verde | Eurocamp You could get multiple holiday homes next to each other, and they have various ones at different price points. You're within easy walking distance to Noja, and the park itself has several pools, sports areas etc. You're also very near the beach.

@xmasdealhunter Thank you! I've had a look at that campsite and it does look lovely. Do you know if it's easy to fly to?

Budget isn't set in stone as a chunk of it is being paid for by a family member as a treat. Haven't been given a budget as such but equally don't want to take the piss too much.

It's 30 mins drive from Santander airport, very easy to grab a cab to get to the site :)
