New York Hotel / Apartment recommendations

DH, DS (age 21) and me travelling to NY in mid December.

Looking for either

  1. A hotel room with 2 beds + a sofa/armchairs, or
  1. A suite/apartment, with 2 beds min

anywhere between 30th Street and bottom of Central Park.

4 nights with budget of £3000 max.

Been searching all the usual websites etc. but so many options, and often hard to see if hotel rooms just have beds in them or somewhere separate to sit also.

We stayed at the Moto Hotel (Hilton group) with teens, two queen beds in the room.

Great location in Chelsea.

Radio City Apartments, just a short walk from Times Square and Central Park. Friendly helpful reception (it’s an aparthotel so you can choose how many bedrooms etc). Old fashioned decor but very clean and v reasonable price for NYC.

I wa stop g to suggest radio city too but book now. It’s often a complete sell out.

Does your budget quoted include flights also?.

I would look at the Salisbury House hotel on 57th street. An alternative is the Hilton NY Times Square on 42nd Street. Your son can have his own room.

Early December can be cheaper than mid but NYC anyway is a year round destination now with prices to match.

Not what you asked for but IMO Brooklyn is MUCH nicer than Manhattan.

Also a vote for radio city apartments. It was great.
