Hello. Has anyone travelled recently at Manchester Airport Terminal 1? Did you have to take your bag of liquids out? I know terminal 2 has the scanner but unsure about the other terminals. If i need to take them out id rather have them out already as Itll be less hassle with a toddler and being pregnant but thought I'd aal. Thankyou in advance ☺️

Yes - I have, and no you don't have to take your liquids out any more. Everything just goes through in your bag.
It might well be different on your return flight home though, of course, depending upon where you're returning from.

I travelled through MAN T1 last Tuesday and didn’t have to take my liquids out. Security was a breeze, I arrived at the airport at 04:45 and was sat in a restaurant by 05:05! I was genuinely surprised.

ETA - I did have to take them out when going through security in FUE though..

Just check for sure on the airport website. But T2 definitely you can take liquids through normally

I went through T3 on Christmas eve, and had to have liquids separated out.

Manchester is so much nicer now they've done this. I went through in November all girded up for hassle but it was one of the least stressful airport experiences I've had in years.

I wasnt aware of this - so just to be clear - we can still only take 100ml in hand luggage but it doesn't have to be taken out the bag?

thepurgebegins · 13/02/2025 13:47

@VivaDixie alot of the airports have the scanners fitted now to detect the kiquids but manchester airport is a little behind. Some terminals have it some done. I've managed to confirm terminal 1 have the scanner and terminal 2 but terminal 3 isn't updated yet. Have it in the ziplock bags inside the suitcase as normal and if they were to ask for it just take it out otherwise it's just electrical you need to have out.
