Travelling to Qatar as a single woman - is this safe?

I am desperate to go to the formula one in Qatar. I've had a look and flights and hotels are nowhere near as expensive as I expected them to be.

The actual country looks beautiful and the excursions look cheaper than I expected. I'm very close to just taking the plunge and booking, but am I stupid to do this?

Qatar is actually very safe, and many people travel there solo without any issues. In fact, it’s often considered even safer than Dubai in terms of public safety. The crime rate is very low, and the government takes security very seriously. Of course, it's important to respect local customs in public spaces, but as long as you're aware of the cultural norms, you should have a great time. Enjoy the Formula 1!

I lived there for a few years. Yes it's safe but remember it's shariah law.
