Nice car hire

Hi, we are flying in and out of Nice in the summer and will be hiring a car.

We arrive on the Friday evening and will stay the night either at an airport hotel or in town before picking up the car and driving to Frejus for a week.

Given we'll have left the terminal for the hotel, does it make more sense to hire the car from a place in the Nice town or is it pretty simple to go back into the airport to pick up a car? Heard mixed reviews about convenience of Nice airport car hire vs Marseille

We’ve hired a car from central nice -all fine and likely to be cheaper than the airport

that said the airport is not far at all so it wouldn’t be a big issue to go back.

compare prices then make a decision. But central nice would get my vote if you’re there. I have quite a story about us getting “upgraded” at enterprise near nice station to some massive beast. Great we thought, until we got stuck down a country lane with it, which was narrower than the bloody beast.

We hired a car from Avis near the station. We had an Audi and it was fine for narrow roads! We dropped it there and got a bus to the airport. Taxis available too.

😮I'll definitely compare prices, think we can get a slightly cheaper hotel too not paying a premium to be in the airport, and the car hire desk possibly less busy too.
