can u cancel a holiday ?

i was wondering can anyone give me advice out there? can u cancel a holiday, my grandfather is dying and we r meant to go on holiday in 11 days, tbh i dont get a sh1t about the but it was a grand and i wont to know can it be rescheduled cancelled etc.

its so hard any advice be great

You can but may lose all of your money at this late stage.

rea your travel insurance conditions. It will state what situations would allow you to be able to claim the money back.

Sadly i don't think in this situation, unless you are a carer, you would be able to claim it back.

Sorry to hear of your grandad.

Read your travel insurance policy.
Some cover for curtailment of the holiday because of family illness. So you'd get your money back.

So sorry about your GF.

thanks guys i contacted the holiday company and they said the same contact insurance people.

Ring them NOW. It's common for the final cancellation deadline, after which you get NO money back at all, to be 10 or 14 days. If your policy says 10, the you might get some of your money back.
