Middle name passport help

Hi I want to apply for first adult passport but my mother has loraine with one r as middle name on her birth certificate but on my certificate it shows her middle name as lorraine with extra r, can i still apply online for passport and send documents even though middle name issue?

Could your mum possibly get your birth certificate corrected, to the right spelling? This would appear as a correction in the foot note of the certificate. If so, get her to call the registrar office where you were registered at birth, and see what they can advise you?

Or just call the passport help line directly?
