Dh, ds3 (8mo) and I are off to Stockholm on Saturday. Dh will mainly be at a conference (anyone else off to the ERA this weekend??) so am planning on strolling the streets with ds3. We're there Sat afternoon through to Tuesday afternoon.

Any unmissables (doable with a buggy)?

Anything to avoid?

What will the weather be like?

Many thanks .

Hotel Rival and the area around it are worth a wander - the hotel has a cafe bar and a bakery. The sunken and raised warship is really interesting. The market is fab but i can't remember what it is called - the food market.

If you can give me names from the guidebook i'm sure I'll remember!

Food market sounds good! So far all I've planned is a sail around the archipelago and the consumption of cinnamon buns. Dh's boss is taking us out for dinner on Sat night - fingers crossed that ds3 just sleeps through it all...

go to skansen, it's an outdoor museum and has animals there too for your little one to look at. We used to live in stockholm when I was little and I loved Skansen. Went back to stockholm a couple of years ago for my hen weekend and had a lovely time.

Would second the warship in the Vasa Museum - it's unreal and I don't really do museums.

Yes we went to Skansen, it was great but I kept thinking the DCs would love it (so I wasn't really concentrating on romantic 10th wedding anniversary trip )

The food market is Ostermalmshallen - fab. Gamla Stan well worth a few hours' wander

Another vote for the Vassa Museum.

Fascinating (and so not my usual thing).
