Is Athens a good place for a solo holiday

I'm thinking about going to Athens for a short 4 day break solo holiday in March. Any recommendations on what to do and see? Do you think it would be a safe and fun place to visit on your own? I'd appreciate your thoughts...

I've been to Athens as a family and we really enjoyed it. We went to all the usual sites and I didn't feel unsafe. I'd definitely book a free walking tour on your first day, the guide will give you ideas where to eat/best places to visit.

It's like any European city - you just have to be careful and aware of your surroundings. As a solo traveller I'd make sure I stay somewhere central just to make it easy to get back at night.
