Thomas cook flights to crete

Have posted this in General advice yesterday but its a bit quiet in there with the lovely weather so apologies if you come across it twice.

We are going on an Ocean Village cruise in the summer from Crete and have heard some horror stories about the flights (thomas cook)... we are travelling with an 18month old who hasn't been allocated her own seat and both DH and I are tall. Was wondering if anyone has any recent experiences of the flights as I am considering paying for her to have her own seat if they are really that cramped?

I don't remember them as being cramped but we have flown with them once and both ways there was a long delay (several hours)where the plane was in the wrong place.(Hopefully we were just unlucky).
