Ready beds / air beds

has anyone used these? they say they are suitable for over twos but would anyone use one for a 16 month old? they seem a lot more lightweight and easier than the travel cot on the plane option. what do you think from a safety point of view? DS is crawling but not walking.

we just bought ready beds for camping. i think it looks safe enough - although they are quite long for little ones. the air bed stops the sleeping bag from twisting up, so little one cant get stuck down the bottom!! dd (2.5) thought it was great fun when we blew it up to try it out.

My ds has used his since about 20 months and loved it - never had any problems with it. Much easier to transport than a travel cot for older babies/toddlers IMO
