Corsica accommodation

We've booked flights to Corsica but struggling with accommodation. There seems to be a lot but go from basic to unbelievably expensive. There also seems to be a lot of boutique places aimed just at couples.

We are a family of three and fall just outside the 'child' criteria of 12 which is also not helping.

Thinking two nights Ajaccio area then two nights Calvi area then round to finish with 5 nights Porto Vecchio area.

Can anyone recommend places in those areas?

Years ago we stayed at the A Merula Aparthotel in Calvi, was a great base.

Also rented a flat privately in Calvi through (what is now) Vrbo — don't know if you're after s/c or a hotel?

Prefer hotels as I want breakfast served to me and not to be doing cooking and housework! With a pool.
