We are going here for two weeks at the end of June.Dd2 and Ds are only 3 and 18 months so we chose Tsilivi as apparently it's great for young children.
What is the area like? Has anyone hired a car, and how safe are the roads?
Any recommendations on restaurants and day trips would be great.

Yes we went last year with dd 3 and ds 10 months. Cant remember the name of our hotel but we booked with first choice, we chose the resort due to the airport transfer time.

The resort is lovely, quite small and maybe not enough to do for 2 weeks but if you do excursions it should fill up some days. The resort is mainly along one long street with quiet pubs and restaurants on. Best restaurant is popeyes, they are excellent with the kids and gave DD a free gift every time we went there of badges, balloons etc.
We went to one pub called the red lion as its under cover and they have a childrens play area with trampolines etc. We didnt enjoy it there though as its under cover and there were loads of flies about. There is a nice lunch time place down off the beach which has a nice big beer garden with bouncy castle and tortoises. DD loved it there and we went there most lunch times when it got too hot.
The beach is quite small and nothing special, theres no promonade or any walk way along the beach so most restuarants etc are situated away from the beach on the main street.
Overall we had a nice time and it was a nice resort with lots of different types of food and friendly people.

I am a travel agent and have been to zante but not tsilivi I would sell customers with young children a holiday there as it is a smallish resort catering for families. Just watch the kids zante gets very very hot.
