Center parcs bike hire with a trailer

Hi everyone wondered if any of you had taken a bike and trailer combo and if it's worth getting a mountain bike or a normal?

Logically thinking I'd imagine the suspension on a mountain bike would make it extra hard work?

We did and just had a normal bike as far as I remember.

Never done it but if you are staying on the paths it will be better to have a bike without suspension.
