Ireland - dog friendly?

Hello,

We try to get to Ireland to see family every few years. Thinking about going again soon but now have a dog. How is it in Ireland for dogs? Are they allowed on the beach all year round? Most likely to go to Galway or Cork.

Thanks

There’s a great Facebook page for organising a dog friendly stay in Ireland, you can find it if you look up ‘Dog friendly holiday accommodation Ireland’

As you mentioned Cork - a friend stayed with her dog in Dunmore House Hotel near Clonakilty in West Cork and loved it. Just in case you’re not staying with family.
