My 11 month old DD is mixed race, with fair complexion. She has no probs with her skin, though her cheeks can get a bit chapped.

There's so much on the market, which suncream do you use on your dc(s)?
And what's the difference between suncream and sun block?

I use nivea baby 50+. It's great! or nivea child 50 +. I would always use 50+ as it is a complete sun block, which I think is important for babies and children. The cheeper brands tend to be like tar or sticky in my experience.

I think sun cream helps you to tan but sun block blocks out the sun. With a young child they definatly need sun block with a high SPF 30+ and sun hat etc. Even black babies need a high factor sun block.

I just went out and bought one by Green People. Meant to be all organic and good for babies, but only 25 SPF, so not quite 30+
