Miami en of July

We are stopping in Miami for a few nights end of July. 2 adults and 2 teens. Not sure whether to do 4 or 5 nights. Are there day trips to Florida keys, and Everglades. I think we only need a couple of days in Miami itself for shopping, etc.

It will be HOT! 🥵

I've done a day trip to the Keys, the company I went with has gone out of business though (I've just checked) ~ it was beautiful and well worth it!

You can do a boat trip down to Key West or if you have a car, do the drive. It’s a long one, at least 3 hours, but very scenic.

Loads of operators do Everglades trips from Miami. Or drive there yourself and hop on a tour.

Thank you. It is the only time we can go due to school holidays.

We did Japan in August and managed the heat; wasn’t ideal but we managed.

I will look at trips, may need a night in Florida keys; seems a bit far for one day

I’d stay a night in the Keys if you can.

There’s a lot to do in Miami depending on what you like.

Thank you; where can we stay in the keys? We are now thinking in 3 nights in Miami and 3 in the Keys, or 2 nights in the Keys. To make it worth it.

Ok so we did Florida with the teens 2023. They absolutely loved the airboat ride through the mangroves from Everglade City. We booked through captain Jacks. And loved the keys too.

jeaux---air boats kill water animals and scares the panthers and other wild life

We've driven to the Keys (not in the summer) and the drive is long and procession-like, because it's a single lane road the whole way and it's busy. We only got as far as Islamorada before we turned around, but if we'd had a couple of nights we'd have driven down to Key West and stayed over. It's a surprisingly long drive from Miami.

The Miami beaches are great so you might not want to spend your day driving!

everglades very easy day trip.

you can go to Key Largo and get a good flavour of the keys and stay there? That’s far enough.
