I have read so much about how unbearable it is to visit Japan in July/August but I also have a friend and she said it was OK.
For context, me and the whole family are OK with heat and humidity (think Bangkok in August, Florida - not just beach - in July/August).
So, I'm looking for thoughts, advice of what to see as we have max 14 days unfortunately. Fun and unusual things ideally coupled with some pool (or even beach) time.
Travelling with two boy aged 16 and 19.
