France/Spain Trip with Teens - Itinerary help!

Hello,
We're a family of 2 adults & 2 teens (15yrs) flying into Beziers late July & home from Biarritz mid Aug. Other than visiting Carcassone, Bilbao & San Sebastian we've no set itinerary & have never been to any of these areas before. Happy driving/taking train & exploring different places but would also like to have several days chilling by beach or pool at a couple of accommodations we could use as a base for exploring from. We enjoy outdoor activities, good food, a bit of culture & some downtime. Any itinerary ideas or recommendations would be most appreciated! Thank you 😊

Carcasonne is amazing.

But it sounds a helluva lot of time racing around.

Just get a map out of France and look for nearer places.

No-one wants to spend a holiday rushing like they do at home.

Carcasonne is south of France, Bilbao is north of Spain.

A huge journey.

Depends where you base yourselves
Cadaques
Pamplona
Loads of activities in the Pyrenees
Bayonne
St Jean de Luz
Toulouse

Between Béziers and Biarritz we’ve had 3 or 4 separate holidays tbh!

Thanks for your replies @suburberphobe @SiobahnRoy we did wonder if it's maybe too much in one trip.....sounds like we need to decide on staying in France or going to just to Northern Spain...
