Looking for an easy holiday this year with our toddler who will be almost 3. In the past we've hired a car and stayed in multiple locations but hoping to get away without a car this year (to cut costs and the hassle lugging around a car seat) and have a simpler break in one nice location. We like Greece but also open to other suggestions in Europe. We don't usually like huge AI type places and don't need entertainment or want noisy music around the pool or on the beach.
Has anyone stayed somewhere that ticks most of these boxes:
Boutique hotel or family run hotel with direct access to a toddler friendly shallow sandy beach (or very near). Good food available in the hotel or very near by. Local food rather than English breakfasts and fish & chips. Pretty surroundings and not too built up area. Caters to children but doesn't need to be totally child focussed eg don't need kids club or water slides but DD would probably love a toddler pool. Would consider a larger hotel if the food is good and its not too crowded and noisy. Happy to book as a package or flight and hotels separately. No set budget as budgets tend to be seasonable but not in the league to afford Ikos type resorts.
A couple of examples of the type of place we are looking for (realise that not many people will know them):
Seabreeze Hotel, Agios Gordios, Corfu
Ammos Hotel near Chania, Crete
