How long is it currently taking to get a new passport?

Thinking of taking adult DD away for a few days over half term and she's just told me her passport has run out.

Anyone know how long they are currently taking to be issued? I know times can vary a lot depending on the time of year.

I renewed mine just before Christmas..posted on a Friday ( I did photo and application online) and got it back following Thursday!
I signed for my friend's son to get a new one..took 2 weeks.

Very quick. I applied for mine 10th January and just got notification that it's arriving tomorrow

6 days - applied Sunday, posted old passport on Tuesday, received new passport in Saturday

A week, was renewals not a new passport though if that makes any difference.

Renewing DDs child passport, sent her old one off last Monday by Tracked next day delivery, got an email from Royal Mail to say her new one will be delivered to us tomorrow.

Very quick here too. Did application online with digital photo on code. Posted old passport on the Monday, new passport arrived in the Tuesday of the following week so 8 days in total.

Forgot to add - this was just 2 weeks ago.

1 week to get DH passport back last week. Applied online sunday, posted docs Monday, passport received Saturday.

I renewed mine using the service of those photo booths near Tesco. They charge £15 quid on top of the usual fee and send it fastrack. It usually goes to the Crewe office (I'm in south Wales and was mightily relieved that it wasn't going to slow Newport). Anyway - had it back in 7 days!

Very impressed. That said, I'd get your skates on.
