I've never taken my kids on a 'family holiday' (we do city breaks, visit family or camp in UK).

They are now 8 and 11 and I know they'd absolutely love a classic summer holiday.

Do I want something like Yelloh village or am I looking at AI in Tenerife?

Budget is not unlimited but the main requirements are sun, water slides, ice cream and freedom. Some sort of adventure playground a bonus.

I'd say Eurocamp is your friend (or look at Yelloh / Sandaya to compare prices. You can filter I think by age. We've been to some amazing sites over the years. Dd loved being able to go the shop by herself and a water park.

Thanks @MissAmbrosia , that's exactly what i had in mind. Do they do 'organised activities' for kids? Like bench ball or something like that.

We've done a good few holidays in French campsites, mostly through Yelloh. We also went to Sanguli in Spain. Loads of activities for both kids and adults, evening entertainment and great water parks. Loads of choice so just pick an area and start looking at websites! I prefer Yelloh and Sandaya generally to Eurocamp.
