Hi I’m just looking for thoughts on this fly drive route in July , I’m very unsure as it’ll be baking hot , it’ll be a couple of nights at each stop
NY , Boston, Montreal , Ottawa, Cape Cod, Mystic Newport, North Conway , Manchester , & Stockbridge
Any advise please ?

That's a helluva lot of driving for a couple of nights in each place. I'd there a reason for all these choices?

Way too many miles. I live in Florida and drive a lot. We have family in Kansas that we drive to. But I’d never drive that amount that you are proposing. The roads will be very congested in the summer too.

I'd cut half of it out! That is a lot of driving time

Hi

Thank you so much for your replies and advice and in particular the warning about the driving involved. We are used to long drives, for instance last year we drove Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Mammoth Lakes, Sacramento, San Francisco. Monterey, Santa Barbara , LA and San Diego in two weeks and that was 1.700 miles. It was a pleasant journey and outside of the cities was easy driving. The NY, New England, Canada journey described originally in this thread is circa 1.400 miles and we'll have three weeks to do it in and seems doable, but having said that, I have never undertaken the journey before. Excuse my ignorance, but are the roads that more congested in New England than in CAL, AZ and Nev?
