I'm going to Florence for a few days. Is it nice? Any recommendations? Thanks.

Lovely. Rivoire on Piazza dell Senoria for lunch or coffee. Wine windows in the evenings. Prebook any of the main sites and you can get combination tickets. View from Boboli gardens.

Wonderful city. My recommendation is that it's worth doing a bit of homework first to get more out of its wonders - we watched a few things on YouTube about the Medicis, and also some art history. It's not something we know anything about and we enjoyed it more because we had a bit of a clue what we were looking at.

One nice thing to do apart from the obvious big hits in Florence is a bus trip out to Fieseole which is a hill town with great views, Etruscan ruins and (if you get a table) a very nice restaurant. I think it was on a hop on-hop off tourist bus route.

I loved Florence but if you are going to the art galleries you need to book way in advance.
I found the outside of the cathedral to be astonishing but the inside tourists are admitted to very underwhelming
Everywhere we ate was lovely.
You'll have a wonderful time

I won't be going to the art galleries as I'm too tired!

Just walks and cafes really

It’s a beautiful city! Enjoy!

Florence is beautiful, but I always travel in the low season. It's way too crowded and quite unpleasant at peak times.
