Trip to Japan, any agencies?

I'm booking a trip to Tokyo with my sons, one of which is a wheelchair user. I would like to use an agency rather then booking separately so it's ATOL protected and I'm sure the hotel and room is completely accessible. Any suggestions as the only agencies I'm seeing are expensive trips or organised experiences and I just want hotel and flights.

Try trailifinders, they can put together a bespoke package, or try flight centre. I don't know of any disability specialists, might be worth asking on an expats in Japan website for which local hotels are better for disabilities

I used Inside Japan and highly recommend them. They can adjust their standard itineraries around the client's needs, so I hope would be able to deal with his accessibility needs.

Thank you, I'll take a look!

In terms of ATOL protection, you are also covered under ATOL if you book a flight and hotel through a website like booking.com or Expedia or through someone like BA.

If you are just looking to book a flight and one hotel in Tokyo with ATOL protection I’d choose one of those options, as the tour companies will charge a lot more and there’s no need to pay the premium if you’re just visiting Tokyo.

In Japan they call accessible rooms “universal”. If you search universal hotel rooms in Tokyo in google you should get results for places that are disability friendly. You can then book them with a flight through one of those websites for ATOL protection.

How odd. I have no idea why that post was hidden. Only thing I can think of is that I linked a few hotel websites. Hopefully it will appear at some point.

Some friends went with Inside Japan. They were really happy with them.

Hoping that they are good but we are using Inside Japan this year. They have a specialist accessibility agent -Ali Muskett who has been very helpful in helping us book ( we are not wheelchair users but have mobility issues and other health issues)
