Cycling in Italy with Shade

Where could we go in Italy for nice bike rides that has some forests and therefore has some shade?

DH and I don’t do lots of sun too well, nor the kids. We loved Les Landes forest in south west France.

Would there be anything similar in Italy?

Can cope with heat, but not big open landscapes with cycling constantly in direct sun.

I'm a cyclist OP and was just looking at Eurovelo routes, when I came across this route - the Calabria Parks one - that covers four national parks in a 545km trail. So I'm thinking somewhere in this region would be forested enough:
