Hello,

I have the opportunity to go away for 3-4 nights with my best girlfriend whilst my DH looks after our 1 and 3 year olds back in England. We’re looking to go 15-19 May.

I am usually so good at spending hours researching and cross-referencing stuff to book the perfect holiday but (a) I’m shattered and (b) I’m overwhelmed by the sudden freedom and choice! So I wonder if anyone has a recommendation based on the following wish list:

  • Sunny, warm weather
  • Clean hotel with a pool
  • Beachfront or very close
  • Walking distance to restaurants
  • Not a big drive from the airport (45 mins max ideally)

We just want to lie down, eat, read and drink wine. But mostly lie down. I really don’t care about anything else.

Thank you so much!!!!!

Love from a lazy (and pooped) Mum

The Meliá Alicante has everything that you need!

Alicante was the first place that came to my mind too @Thethruththewholetruth

Málaga. Less than 20 mins on the train. Beaches are lovely. Not sure about hotels with pools though.

Thank you! I’ve also thought about Provence, Marseille, Lisbon, Sicily, Sardinia. I’m mostly looking for hotel recommendations as that’s the bit that feels quite overwhelming - there’s millions!

We are going to Reverence Life Santa Ponsa Mallorca for 4 nights. Adults only hotel and looks nice with very good reviews. Near to bars/restaurants and beachfront. Very short flight too.
