Thinking of travelling to Maldives. Would appreciate hotel recommendations. Mid range price - want a few luxuries. Beach rooms or rooms out over water? Looking for quiet but with a good choice of restaurants.

Mid range could mean different costs, do you have a budget?

Is it just for adults or with children?

My husband and I have been to Kuramathi twice. It is incredible!
Like yourself, we like a range of restaurants and this island delivers that. The only thing is that to be able to use all the a la carte restaurant you need to be select all inclusive. The basic all inclusive only gives you access to the buffet restaurants (which are still amazing). Upgrading to select AI will add about 1.5k onto your holiday price, but is worth every penny.
I've stayed in both the over water villa and the beach bungalow - both stunning.

In my opinion it is mid range in terms of price - there are a lot more expensive islands, equally there are cheaper islands, however if you're a foodie and want to eat well every day this is the one 👌🏼

Tripadvisor Maldives forum is helpful for recommending islands, although they will want you to spell out your budget and priorities. You could also ask some of the specialist travel agents like Simply Maldives, Magic of Maldives or Angelfish.

Is snorkelling and/or diving important to you as this helps narrow things down.

Also with kids or without? Many resorts won’t allow kids in overwater bungalows.
