Is taking a 3 month old to Sardinia in June a good idea?

Worried it will be too hot for him. Presumably babies shouldn't go in the sun at all? Any tips?

We went on holiday to Sardinia in the May holiday (last week of may), it was nice and warm but not uncomfortably so, we had a 9 month old. I have also taken a 6 month old to Malta in July as MIL treated us to a holiday with her, not my choice of place to go in July. It was really hot, we just went out very early in the morning and late afternoon/evening. It was not impossible, just made sure that dd was in shade and covered up as much as possible.

We are going to Lanzarote next Tuesday with dd who will be 4 months.
I have a uvnet shade thing for the pushchair and a parasol nd will keep her in the shade / in the villa for most of the day.
I took dd 1 to majorca wen she was the same age and she was fine, slept a lot.
