Travel insurance companies that will insure someone on a referral waiting list?

Just that really. On the ENT waiting list, no clue when I'll be seen but because of that it invalidates my travel insurance.

It's just for recurring sinus infections, nothing serious and I manage 99% of them without going to the doctor. It's only because I had about four courses of antibiotics in late 2023 that they referred me.

Is there any chance of me getting insurance that doesn't cost the Earth?

Will your current insurer really not cover you if you ring their health screening line?

There are several specialist health travel insurers though I have found them all rather expensive (various pre-existing conditions) and just go through medical screening with a standard insurer.

I don't believe they do from looking at their website, because I'm under investigation with no diagnosis. But it's a bit impossible because I could be on this list for another two years!

I would give your current travel insurers a call. It's the only way you will know for certain.

I'm not hopeful, but I'll give them a call

It's such a minor issue that I didn't even think of this when I went abroad last year and probably travelled without valid insurance 😅
