Disney world help

To the Disneyworld Florida experts pls can you clarify a few things for me...

  • so when my 60 day booking window opens I can book restaurants just through the app/web. I do not need to VPN this?
  • how do the new lightning lanes work?
  • if I have a 14 day Disney ticket and in a Disney hotel does this include waterparks? (I thought it did but then saw something about only being able to go on day of arrival)

Yes I am on some of the Disney groups but some of the rather militant participants put me off asking there and confuse me even more!

Thanks

We booked fairly last min for Disney World, but just booked via the app, didn't need to use a VPN.

The lightning lanes are a bit complicated. Id recommend watching a YouTube about it - I found it invaluable and cleared up all my questions.

Was the 14 day ticket brought in the UK? Ours was and included the waterparks, but I don't think all the US tickets do (I may be wrong).

At 60 days out you can book restaurants through the My Disney Experience app, you don’t need a VPN…

Lightning lanes are basically fastpass but you have to pay for it. The price of it changes per park per day but we used it in every park and found it really useful. You have to be on your phone booking the next one as soon as you’re allowed, so it isn’t effortless. There are also rides where you need to secure a virtual queue or buy a pass in order to ride (separately). I’d probably watch a YouTube explanation of this, as it’s quite complicated, AllEars are very good at describing how best to use these.

Your 14 day Disney pass will include waterparks; Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. (If they are open, one will be for sure but there are certain times in the year one of them will close.)

Your ticket will also include include a free round of mini golf at Fantasia or Wintersummerland courses once a week.

Also any restaurant recommendations to watch fireworks from. I think there is a Mexican in Epcot? Don't fancy the £150 fish and chip package!

I find them too militant! They only answer the question they want not what you actually ask then often start contradicting. Thought may get more sensible advice here!
