Couples resorts in Caribbean, anyone been?

We're considering going to Couples Sans Souci in December.

Any recommendations?

We seriously looked at them. There are some very interesting reviews on Tripadvisor. Well worth a read.

It appears that some resorts are very popular for swingers and most have a nudist area.

Which is fine if that's the vibe you are looking for.

Sans Souci does a have a nudist beach but also a non-nudist one!

I spoke to a travel agent when we were considering Sandals but when I said that we preferred a quieter atmosphere, she said Sandals may not be for us.

We went to sandals instead.
The older resorts are a bit tired but you can grab a bargain. We did 10 nights in Jamaica for under £4k
There were quiet areas and the food was amazing. The grounds were well kept too.

There are some excellent sandals deals at the moment. I've got my eye on the new St Vincent resort. It really looks beautiful.

I haven't been to that resort but have been to other Sandals. They are so big that there are busy and quiet areas so you are sure to find an area you like. Re the nudist comment, there are some resorts in Jamaica that offer nudist beaches etc but they are normally very well signed and you are warned about so that you don't just stumble on them! If you want super quiet though generally Jamaica is pretty lively I would look at a quieter island like St Lucia or Antigua.

Secrets might be a better choice for you OP, if that experience isn't your bag!

Sorry I read this completely wrong originally - couples the resorts - yes nudity and hedonism I understand! Stick to Sandals!

What's Secrets like?

Secrets are really nice. Worth the money

We have been to Secrets in Lanzarote and Akumal in Mexico - both really nice. Nothing like I imagined an AI to be, good drinks, lovely, interesting restaurants, gorgeous pools. Obviously far better weather and water temp in Mexico!
