Has anyone stayed here and would you recommend it? I know Chatee has stayed here so if you are around can you give me your comments please? Is the creche any good? TIA x

We've stayed in Portinatx, but not Hotel Presidente. It's a beautiful but very quiet resort (atleast, it was 15 years ago!). It is quite a trek from any of the bigger towns but, if you want a quiet holiday its glorious.

Hiya, we stayed here in Sept last year.

The hotel is lovely, nice and clean, great entertainment (for adults and kids) of a night, good sized pools, loads of activites for older children. Great variety of food for kids, and for adults the breakfast is to die for , the evening meals are great too, loads of choice.

We loved everything about the hotel, the only downside is the steep walk back from the beach, good for the lungs but quite hard work with a pram, but there is a alternative route along the road, takes longer but no where near as bad to get back up!

The hotel also has free soft play area and a great outdoor play area, i didn't put my kids in the creche but looked really well run, clean and very good.

Forgot to add the indoor soft play is lovely as is air conditioned, as are the rooms, but take note the air con in the rooms once you switch them on they stay on for a couple of hours.

The staff are lovely too, can't do enough to help.

We went there last year with dd (3 at time) and really liked it. Resort small, with lovely beach - entertainment mainly centred around hotel. Hotel itself lovely too - not 5 star luxury but rooms were clean. Kids well catered for, food lovely and staff wonderful. Found it be a v.relaxing holiday. Lady on reception is English and this proved to be v.useful when dd picked up ear infection. We normally never go back anywhere, but this year have booked to go back again.
