A question about companies like Trailfinders.

Probably a really stupid question but …..
When you book through a travel company like trailfinders, is it just you or are you part of a group? Like a package holiday.

We have travelled with them several times as an individual family, and that's their main business. Bespoke trips. But they possibly do some group trips, I'm not sure. I have found them very good.

Group trips are usually advertised as escorted tours. Trailfinders probably do these too but they also do package holidays for individuals as well. We looked at them for a trip to Aus but ended up booking with another similar provider instead.

A package holiday and a group holiday are two different things.

If you want the ATOL protection of a package, Trailfinders and the like will have this if you book flights and accommodation with them.

They can put together packages of flights, accommodation, car hire, and activities (such as safari), that some people would find difficult or confusing, particularly if it’s an unfamiliar location or complicated itinerary.

Trailfinders offer group holidays, but you won’t be on one unless you want to be! Most other group travel providers are excl. flights.

Thanks all

I don’t want to be part of a group, just want them to organise everything really

So you want a package then. The advantage of Trailfinders is that they'll book all your point to point flights and accommodation in the right places on the right dates and help out if something goes wrong. They'll also know what sorts of itineraries are a good idea, eg number of days in a particular place, where to go to in what order.
