Hi,

Looking for recommendations on a lovely UK break for me and my kids for June and then over Christmas time for my 30th. Any suggestions please? Thanks!

Bluestone in Wales is lovely, lots of open space, indoor swimming pools and toddler friendly activities Bluestonewales.com. For the break over Christmas, would you prefer an activity sort of break, in a city, or a quieter one?

We've done a few things which should have been "lovely" on paper, but with kids they never quite pan out the way you hope.

The best we've had was when we booked a caravan at a park with onsite pool, soft play and playground. The kids played brilliantly, made friends, and DH and I actually got a few peaceful, squabble free, moments. Yes, it was it a sticky room surrounded by the detritus other people were too damn lazy to cleat up, but honestly, it was great.
