Coming from Scotland to do Harry Potter world, does anyone have any advice on where to stay, I’m wondering if it’s best to stay near Harry Potter world, or is central London better to see other attractions? Would probably want to do Friday to Monday, kids are 7 and 10. Thanks.

Stay in Central London as the area around Harry Potter World is awful. There are good transport links for the one day you will be spending there and of course in Central London restaurants, museums etc will be a lot more accessible if you’re staying local.

Definitely stay in Central London. You can get the train from Euston to Watford Junction for Harry Potter World.

We stayed near harry potter world for 1 night there was nothing else to do I wouldn't stay around there for any longer

Definitely London - train to HPW is Euston so ideally somewhere easy to get to there (Northern or Victoria line)

Oh and try to get DC at the front after the cinema bit and you can get to open the doors to the Great Hall.

We've just been and it's amazing but prepare for a long day - we were there over 6 hours!

There is a special bus service that runs from Central London to Harry Potter World as well. Definitely stay in London.

Are you driving down? If so I’d probably choose a hotel just in the outskirts of London which has free parking but also tube links in for London sight seeing and then you can easily drive to the studios in Watford. This is what we did when we went but we were coming up from the south so we stayed the other side of London to what would probably work best for you.

if u you ours getting the train then I’d stay in central london and get the train to Watford for the studios.
