Lapland or ski holiday?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a bit of advice please. I'm a solo parent with a nearly 10 year old. She has ADHD, mainly gets a bit nervous with new things! So I'm avoiding Disney, she doesn't like rollercoasters and rides 🤣

But I do know she would love a snow holiday.

I don't think either of us want to ski for the whole holiday, we'd liked to do it for a day or two. But do other snow related activities. Lapland looks amazing! I'm looking for a really special holiday for us as she's only young once.

We're going on a massive group holiday in the summer with friends. So will be going just me and my DD. I'm just thinking which holiday would be better from a social perspective? We're fine doing things on our own, but it's still nice meeting new people.

I've been skiing so know what to expect, but we would want to go to a restore which isn't all about skiing.

I don't know which one would be better?

You can ski in Lapland as well as doing as the Christmas/Santa stuff.
Look at Levi / Pyhä-Luosto, they have amazing ski resorts on the doorstep.

Yes my friend just got back from Levi and looks amazing!

It's just supposed to be quite expensive?! We'd go for around 4/5 days?

It’s not cheap no, look at Tui, they have a sale currently and can fly from majority of airports. If you want a day or two skiing as well as Santa stuff definitely need at least 4 nights I’d say.

Levi is amazing and can be done relatively cheaply if you are prepared to fly into Rovanani and then take a bus. Join the FB group Lapland on a Budget for tips.
