What happens if the hotel isn't ready?

So I've taken a bit of a risk and booked our family holiday for this summer at a hotel that's currently undergoing a full renovation.

It's due to complete around 5 weeks before we arrive, I'm aware that this could fall behind schedule for any number of reasons so I was wondering what might happen if the hotel isn't ready?

How did you book it? Direct with hotel? Package?

Did you book independently or through a travel agent as a package holiday ?

I've booked as a package with easyjet

If it’s not ready they’ll move you to another hotel - they’ll likely give you a choice to accept that or cancel
