Best hotel holidays for preteens/young teens

Looking for hotel recommendations, we have done a variety of holidays over the years between a big activity holidays, camping, and hotel in the sun holidays, and after a full on holiday last year all in the mood for a hotel holiday this year. It's been a good few years since we did one and last time our eldest was just edging out of kids club age and was happiest just lying about, dipping in and out of the pool going for walks and reading, the younger ones were still at peak kids club ages and loved going for an hour or two each day and spending the rest of the time round the pool with us. Now our youngest is at the age of just edging out of kids club and the older ones are late tweens/early teens.
I'm a bit lost as to what we are looking for now, one of the oldest would happily play football every day but none of them would particularly want to go to a "teens" club or activity, youngest may go to odd "kids" activity but won't want to be on own. I feel like the best fit would be a hotel with plenty of activities everyone can join in (not specifically kids' activities).
When I look at the hotels they all seem to be divided between aimed at those going clubbing/bar focussed, or aimed at those travelling without children looking for a relaxing quieter holiday, or aimed at people with young families. Is there a key search word I should be adding as teen doesn't bring me anything different?
Or does anyone have any recommendations?
I can give a 5star recommendation to gran tagoro in lanzarote for those with young families.

Have a look at Neilsons beach club resorts or Club la Santa if you're quite sporty.

Rixos Sungate in Turkey has an amazing water park, but also has free access to the Land of Legends theme park.

We also liked Neilson's at this age, though it sounds like you've done activity holidays.

We’re in the same position.

Agree Neilson/Mark Warner work well for these ages, in that the tweens and teens actually go to the clubs and do the activities.

Somewhere like Martinhal or Pine Cliffs might work?? Haven’t been but these look like they would have lots available to do - tennis, bikes, watersports etc.
