Just wondering if anyone has been to New York Recently?
Husband and I are taking our two boys 18 and 16 at the end of this month.

I was just wondering how much roughly anyone had spent- we are going for what works out at 3 and a half days and have changed up 2k so far. We want one nice meal out then the rest of the time food comprises of pizza places, hot dog stands and bakeries that they have made a list of from social media.

Any rough estimates?

Fast food lunch $13 each

Take away tea (ask for two tea bags) $5 or less

Main cause in an Irish pub such as a burger and chips $24 plus around 20% tip/tax

We bought a pass that allowed us to visit five places for around £110 each and I found that good value.

Ubers not bad value especially as there four of you.

I used my debit card for nearly everything apart for some tips.

We went in Oct for 7 days and I think got through about £1500. We didn't scrimp at all.

Portions are large, you eat well.

All the tourist attractions have water fountains near the toilets so you don’t need to buy any water.

Our hotel didn’t have tea and coffee making facilities so I packed my travel kettle and tea bags.
