For anyone that's traveled to France can you recommend any towns/resorts for somewhere around 4hrs from Calais pls?

We are booked to go for a week in July to La Rochelle roughly 8hrs from Calais, at a lovely villa with a pool and are doing one night hotel on the way to break up the long drive but need to find something on the return

We don't fancy a private villa / pool as we would have done that for a week and have a 3yr old and 13yr old so ideally a resort with pool (beach a bonus ) but if inland that's fine
Maybe some activities for the kids etc

Or somewhere walking distance to eat/markets etc

Thank you in advance

Cabourg is lovely - huge sandy beach and lots of places to eat. There is a mini train and mini-golf etc.

Look at www.pierreetvacances.com/gb-en/holiday-villages_ms, there are resorts with pools, clubs, activities etc. Belle Dune is about an hour from Calais and near nature reserves and sandy beaches

I was going to recommend Honfleur but it is more than 1/2 way, how about mint st michel??

Thanks all I'll take a look - I feel I've been looking so much it's all gone into one and I'm can't work out whether a hotel / resort would be better after one week of self catering villa
Thank you
