Has anyone done a Disney cruise with an older child? Our choices are either this summer or next Easter when he will be almost 11.

Yes, my DD's were 12 and 14 when we went on our first Disney Cruise, they loved it. They're 21 & 24 now and we've been nearly every year since, even though the eldest has left home she still comes with us!

Yes, they’re brilliant at all ages

Thank you! At @Januaryview which cruises have you done? Are there any times of year you would avoid? Do you combine with other trips or just do the cruise?

I was thinking of this summer but can see it may be hurricane season for the Bahamas.

We've only done the UK ones - one DD doesn't like flying so it makes it very easy for us. We've always done the 7days, I understand shorter UK ones can be a bit chaotic but the USA ones are ok. There are Facebook groups with some lovely helpful people if it's particularly the USA ones that you're looking at?

But generally in answer to your question, 10/11 is the perfect age to go. Oceaneers Club/Lab are fantastic - mine still like to go to the Open House or adult sessions!

Yes my ten year old boy went last year and really enjoyed it.
