Hello!

Could anyone give a recommendation for a short break similar to Center parcs but in a snowy country.
We are a family with a 33 year old autistic/ learning disabled son and would like in 2025 to take him where there is snow, however it would be good if there is swimming, hot-tubs etc as that's what he enjoys, can anyone recommend?
Many thanks Daffodil

Hopefully someone knows but it is quite an ask to have a) centerparks like b) snowy and c) hot tubs thermal pools etc. in one go. It is probably the snowy bit that is hard, you can, of course go to a ski resort, but these are geared for skiers and are expensive, and the accom is often geared around the same. They are also often difficult to get to. Jufa hotels in Germany / Austria and Hunguest hotels in Hungary are quite good - offering simple but functional rooms and have hot thermal spas, and a package that does an evening meal so it is fairly easy. We stayed in one (Jufa) in Kempten before we took the train down to Obersdorf to go ski-ing. No snow in Memmingen (airport) or Kempten, but plenty in Obersdorf and it is pretty enough, with only an hour or so train and back. Recently stayed in Szeged Hunguest and was fab, thermal pools, great dinner included, lovely town, but again, a long way from Buda (2.5 hours on train) and no snow guaranteed. The snow, I feel, is the difficult bit. Leysin in Switzerland is a reasonable resort if you are after convenience, defo snow, train then funicular from Geneva, and we stayed at Central Residence and Spa (warm pool, albeit plenty of kids) and nice food (DBB option) but by god was it expensive ! Hope you find what you are looking for x
