It’s a milestone wedding anniversary next year and I’d like recommendations for somewhere to stay in October. My parents have very kindly offered to babysit but it’ll be the first time we’ll have been away from our son (who will be 1) so I’m not sure how anxious I’ll be about leaving him hence wanting to go somewhere by car.
DH and I are both big history fans and I’d love to stay in a castle (or similar historic building). Ideally somewhere not too middle of nowhere. We’re big foodies so a good restaurant is important. Spa facilities would be great but not essential.
Anybody got any recommendations? Budget wise we’re happy to to splash out a bit but not ridiculously so.
