Long Haul Destination with Toddlers

Hello

I am looking for any recommendations for a long haul destination in November 2025 with (what will be) our 3 year old and 1 year old.

We want all inclusive and a bit of luxury, but with plenty to do for the 3 year old (splash parks, play areas, kids club).

I've been focussed on Mexico (so any specific Mexico hotel recs would be appreciated) but definitely not wedded to it. I guess we just don't want Tenerife/Spain as we've done those to death!

Our budget is about £5.5k for 10 days (hotel and flights).

Any ideas?

I've not been to Mexico, but Mauritius is fabulous. We went a couple of years ago on a similar budget. It was stunning and really family friendly. There was loads to do if you wanted, yet it was all very relaxing and the food was fabulous. It's also a really safe place to visit, which made me feel more comfortable with a young child.

Have you been on holidays with the children before? These are bad ages for any holidays. You could not pay me to go on a long haul holiday with a toddler, not to mind 2 of them. I can’t imagine anything worse, I would genuinely prefer to go to prison for 10 days*

*You can disregard all of that opinion if you have brought them on several holidays already and/or will have other family and support with you on this holiday and are calm when they are sick.
Apologies for not giving you any helpful suggestions. Good luck.

@3luckystars 🤣🤣🤣 perfectly valid answer!!

So with the older toddler we've done multiple Spain and Tenerife trips, plus Dubai when he was 14 months and they were all fine. The baby is currently only 3 months so not travelled with both yet, we're going to Tenerife in March on our first family of 4 trip.

Maybe a better idea to wait and see how we get on with that one before booking a long haul!

Where did you end up going? Would love some recommendations!

@TheCoolFawnwe opted for Egypt in November and then Thailand next April!
